Purchasing

Ordering. Browse the store by clicking on any of the category links. Identify the product you want, add the item to your shopping cart by clicking on the associated “add to shopping-cart” button. Then either choose “Continue Shopping” or “Check Out”. The “Check Out” process allows you to review the item(s) in your shopping-cart, to continue shopping, to remove items or to complete the transaction by entering the required payment and delivery details.

Payment. Being an online store, we only accept online credit card orders and then only after the credit card has been authenticated in real time by our bank. The following credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard and Bankcard. We also accept PayPal in US dollars.

Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST). No GST is applied for international sales. But for products delivered to an Australian address, where applicable GST will be applied.

Delivery

Delivery charges. We do not make additional charge for delivery into Australia , the USA or for the UK and Europe . For other locations, depending on the destination and the total weight of the shipment, an additional charge for delivery may apply – this charge will be calculated and displayed during the “Check Out” process and you will then have the opportunity to accept or cancel the order.

Street address required. Due to Bank acceptance policy for online credit cards, we cannot deliver to postal boxes or private bags without further verification. If this mode of delivery is important for you, please contact us.

Availability. Delivery is subjected to product availability. Standard delivery time frames are from 5 to 15 working days depending on the destination location. If for some reason you have not received your order within this timeframe, please contact us immediately. If a product you ordered was not available in stock, you will be notified of the expected shipping date. The balance of the order (if any) will be shipped immediately.

Returns Policy

We can only process returns and refunds for items purchased from www.businessdiagnostics.com.au.

Physical media. Physical media such as books maybe returned within 7 days of your date of receipt (but not later than 21 days from our date of dispatch). If your reason for return is not due to our error, we will deduct shipping and handling costs from your refund.
To make a return, send us an email requesting an Authorised Return Number (ARN). Provide the details of your original order (Order Reference, Order Date) together with your name and email address and explain the reason for requesting a return. To comply with our Returns Policy, you must request an ARN within 7 days of your date of receipt (but not later than 21 days from our date of dispatch). Your request will be considered within 10 business days, and if successful, an ARN will be issued. On receipt of the ARN from us, you must immediately dispatch the returned item using the return-address label provided. You must include the shipping documents you received with your original order. Pack the item and the shipping documents securely in a box with sufficient padding to avoid damage in transit. The returned item must be received by us within 14 days of the ARN being issued. We will not process a refund for or accept the return of any item that does not have an ARN.

As you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the item during return shipping we recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking. We also suggest that you insure the item for its safe return so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. Please inquire with your carrier about the waiting period for activating a tracking search for lost shipments to ensure that you do not invalidate the terms of our Returns Policy. Shipping and handling charges for returns are your responsibility unless what we originally sent you was not what you ordered or was a damaged or defective item.

You will be notified by email when we have received the returned item. If the return is accepted, your refund will then be processed within the next 10 business days. Any refund will be made by the same mode of payment used for the original purchase.

Electronic Media. Electronic media such as software delivered in a physical form maybe returned if the item returned remains shrink-wrapped in its original package. For such items, the Returns Policy for physical goods applies (as above). The returned item must be in original, unmarked packaging and include all accessories, manuals, documentation, CDs, and registration details that shipped with the product.

Electronic media purchased by download cannot be returned for refund. If you believe there is a media defect in the download item and you notify us by email within 7 days from the date of download, we will endeavour to provide replacement media within 5 business days. We reserve the right to test any product said to have a media defect. If the condition of the product has been misrepresented, we may impose a fee of up to $750.00. We cannot replace products that have been configured or customised by or for you.

If you are dissatisfied with the performance, functions or features of the electronic media product (whether delivered in physical form or by download) please refer to the warranty information and other supporting documentation associated with that particular product.

Privacy Policy

We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We believe this site complies with the guidelines of the Australian Internet Industry Privacy Code Of Practice and the Australian Privacy Commissioner's National Principles for the Fair Handling of Personal Information.

We use the Westpac Internet Merchant service. This facilitates the processing of credit card transactions online using the EFTPOS network within a secure hosting environment provided by Westpac. As one of Australia's leading banks, Westpac is obligated to comply with the National Privacy Principles, the Code of Banking Practice and the credit provider provisions in the Privacy Act.

No credit card numbers are stored by us. The real time eCommerce system we have implemented allows us to accept a card number, process it, and record only the details of the transaction (ie success or failure and amount). An initial credit card LUHN verification is done, ensuring that any credit card entered meets the minimum test for validity. Card numbers are then passed to our Bank for payment approvals. This is done using the industry leading AES encryption for credit card numbers (AES is an advanced algorithm which cryptographic experts believe to be secure for at least 1000 years, even allowing for the advancements in computing power over that time). Note: Encryption for credit cards has been updated to latest version of Polar Crypto DLL. And the eCommerce system we have implemented also allows for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) processing on checkout so if you are using a security-enabled browser, the information you send us regarding your purchase is encrypted (eg your name and address).

We may send you information via email from time to time advising you of new developments or features available at www.BusinessDiagnostics.com.au. You may at any time advise us that you do not wish to receive these emails and we will remove your email from our address list. If you tell us or have previously told us that you do not wish to receive such information, then it will not be sent to you.

We also collect some statistical information from our website (eg the number of visitors, pages viewed, types of transactions conducted, time online and documents downloaded). Some of this statistical information is collected by using cookies, but none of the statistical information we collect allows us to identify a visitor. We use this information to evaluate our website performance and improve our services. Other than this statistical information, we do not collect any information about you through our website unless you explicitly provide the information to us.

No customer information will be sold or passed to any third-party, except for our bank and then only for purposes of payments processing; or where there is suspected attempted fraud when the relevant details will be provided to the proper authorities.

This privacy policy does not apply to parties that may be linked or associated with our website. Any such third-parties are responsible for the privacy of the information they collect and should be contacted directly for details of their privacy policies.

Complaints

We undertake to promptly and appropriately deal with all legitimate complaints. Please contact us, briefly explain the situation and suggest what you would like us to do to assist you.
